Global Gaming Expo Asia Comes To The Venetian Macao This Month
The Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia is set to run from May 12 to May 15 and will take place this year at The Venetian Macao. The luxury hotel and casino is expected to host more than 15,000 visitors during the 12th edition of the annual event.
This year’s G2E will focus on four key areas which are the Future of Gaming; the Future of Integrated Resorts; the Future of Digital Content & Technology and IAGA Best Practices Institute.
This year G2E’s headline speakers will include DICI director Paulo Martins Chan who heads the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau of Macau, gaming tycoon Lawrence Ho Yau Lung, who is the CEO and chairman of Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited.
Reed Exhibitions and the American Gaming Association (AGA) have teamed up to organize the 3-day event. G2E Asia was launched back in 2007 and has turned out to be a massive success over the years. The exhibition and conference is now the biggest gaming show in Asia and this year’s visitors are projected to pass last year’s figures by up to 30%.
The show will be completely Asia-focused. However, US-based organizations and experts will contribute to a think tank created by the AGA. They will address the social responsibility of gaming operators and focus on the issue of responsible gambling.
This is an issue that is very important to Japanese lawmakers who are preparing to create game-changing legislation for the country’s integrated casino resorts. The think tank will include input from the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers, International Gaming Institute and the International Gaming Institute (University of Nevada).
In a statement, AGA’s President and CEO Geoff Freeman said
It’s time to comprehensively review existing responsible gaming policies and regulations. We must drive a new discussion around proven, effective programs and ensure that governments are appropriately allocating resources

The 3-day event will address other key segments including Digital Content and Technology: Top web-based game developers and tech providers will be shown during this segment; Parts and Components Pavilion : Makers of electronic gaming machines will showcase their new products and tech at this gaming trade platform; Integrated Resort Technology and Business Solutions: The newest Resort products & services will be showcased here
The G2E Asia Awards will also take place during the 3 day event and awards will be presented to the best gambling operators in the region.
