Borgata Casino Ties Up With GAN For Simulated Gaming Solutions
Atlantic City’s Borgata Hotel Casino recently announced that it has entered into a partnership with Game Account Network (GAN), to provide its Simulated Gaming free-play product for the casino’s online players. The offering is expected to go live sometime later this year.
GAN which is headquartered in the U.K is one of the leading providers of B2B gaming software and online gaming solutions. GameSTACKT is its flagship online gaming enterprise software system which is licensed to both online and offline gaming operators.
Borgata’s Simulated Gaming product will be released for both web and mobile gaming access before the end of 2016. The casino-resort plans to integrate the offering with its loyalty program, My Borgata Rewards, which will allow players to encash the rewards at its facility.
By implementing this new process, the casino hopes to draw more players to its premises while they visit Atlantic City.
In a statement, Tom Ballance President and COO of Borgata Casino Hotel & Spa, said,
GAN’s experience and capability, combined with the power of the Borgata brand, will enable the successful launch of Borgata’s Simulated Gaming online experience. This launch will add another business segment to Borgata’s portfolio and will further diversify Borgata’s varied offerings. We also take great comfort in having GAN’s excellent real money Internet gaming product available to us as needed.
The deal also offers GAN the opportunity to expand into real-money regulated gaming after the necessary approvals. According to Dermot Smurfit Chief Executive Officer of GAN, the company will offer its Simulated Gaming service to Borgata’s out-of-state players. It will be able to offer real money regulated gaming to Borgata’s customers who are located in New Jersey, once the casino approves all the necessary paperwork.
Smurfit also stated that GAN’s platform is capable of providing enterprise-level solutions for simulated gaming and regulated gaming separately as well as an integrated offering when required. In addition to Borgata’s approval, GAN would also need approval from the Division of Gaming Enforcement of New Jersey to launch its online regulated gaming offering.
The Borgata casino is one of the top casino-resorts in Atlantic City and leads the online gaming market in New Jersey with a market share of close to 40 percent. The Borgata has managed to survive Atlantic City’s declining casino industry by innovating and offering its patrons a number of new gaming and non-gaming services. The move to partner with GAN is yet another step by Borgata to stay ahead of the game and lead from the front.
