Opened in 2020, Boyd Gaming’s Suncoast Hotel & Casino is located in the prosperous Summerlin area west of Las Vegas, a region known for its force competition in the field.
Two decades after its grand opening, the venue is undergoing a series of major renovations to keep up.
The plans feature a brand new sportsbook, a doubling of the current meeting space, and the introduction of a food hall, following the latest trends in the casino world.
Boyd executives commented on the plans during an event at the property, explaining that by the end of the project, they will be able to offer “an all-new modern experience”.
The company’s vice president of corporate communications, David Strow, spoke about their dedication to maintaining their properties “updated and refreshed”, adding the new property will be a “completely different” one, “brighter and more modern.” at the end of the renovations.
While Suncoast’s success and popularity are undeniable, he added, the property needs a modernization that would support its ongoing growth and evolution in the area.
Last year the property opened a new high-limit room to promote a more intimate and upscale experience for gamers while also opening William B’s Steakhouse.
In the upcoming days, Boyd will be busy building the new sportsbook facility next to the east entrance to the casino. The stadium-style venue will feature one of the largest high-resolution, wrap-around, LED screens in Vegas for a truly modern-day experience.
The current sportsbook will become a bingo room and it will open next year while the current bingo room that counts 600 seats will be turned into an extra meeting space.
The casino floor where casino games such as slot machines are located and that spreads across 95,000 square feet will also be given a makeover that will include a 70-seat raised center bar.
The new center bar will be decorated with a chandelier with a special design, elevating above the floor.
The planned food hall will be built in the old buffet space that has not been functioning since the pandemic.
