In a statement, Kresimir Spajic, senior vice president of online gaming at Hard Rock said
Hard Rock has an ambitious plan to become a global leader in the international online gaming space. We are confident that, together with GIG, we can disrupt the market, through product innovation and unique user experience
The main purpose of this deal is to launch an online casino. The global iGaming market has continued to expand with every passing year and Hard Rock wants to position itself to capture a piece of the profits.
GIG will be providing the digital consumer portal for the online casino. They will also be handling the underlying infrastructure of the site – which is the platform by which Hard Rock will manage the casino. This should be simple process considering GIG operates iGamingCloud.com, which is a cloud- and software-based gaming platform for online casinos.
The look and feel of the site will be taken care of by GIG’s design and development team in collaboration with Hard Rock International. The plan is to finish development sometime later this year.
Hard Rock has been making aggressive moves to expand and improve its product offering. Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming recently announced a partnership with Greentube Internet Entertainment Solutions GmbH to develop a customized social gaming platform. Greentube is a subsidiary of the Novomatic Group AG, an Austrian company focused on social games and lotteries for regulated casinos. The deal would allow a social gaming platform to be implemented across Hard Rock and Seminole Gaming locations worldwide. This will result in a custom website that uses the Greentube Pro platform for each location.
The Seminole Tribe of Florida owns the Hard Rock International brand and has grown it into a global brand. Currently, it has venues in 75 countries. This includes 180 cafes, 24 hotels, and 11 casinos. The company currently has plans to aggressively enter the Asian market. Hard Rock has expressed interest to set up operations in Japan and is also interested in developing a casino resort at the Laguna Lăng Cô beach resort in Vietnam.
