Virginia is now officially out of the list of US states without any casinos with the opening of “Bristol Casino – Future Home of Hard Rock” this summer. The venue will serve as a temporary casino which will be operated by one of the world’s most popular entertainment and hospitality companies, Hard Rock International.
In a press release this week, Hard Rock International announced that its temporary casino in Bristol, located at 500 Gate City Highway, will open its doors on July 8. The new establishment will include a 30,000 square-foot casino space that will initially house 900 slot machines, 20 tables, a sports betting area, and a store that sells a range of Hard Rock merchandise.
The venue also includes several dining, sports, and entertainment facilities, such as a grab-and-go food station, a restaurant, and a dedicated area for sports fans. In addition to that, customers will also enjoy a VIP experience through the casino’s high-limit gaming areas.
Hard Rock International is set to open a permanent facility in the area, named the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Bristol, which is still being built. Once finished, the gambling area will have more than 2,700 slots and over 100 table games.
The entire property also includes a hotel with 750 rooms, an outdoor entertainment venue that can accommodate 20,000 people, 7 restaurants and 4 bars, a Hard Rock Café stage where local artists and musicians will perform, and a 50,000 square-foot convention space. In addition to that, customers will also have access to a 1,200 square-foot Rock Shop as well as a Rock Spa that houses 7 treatment rooms.
Images of the proposed development are available on the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol website, but customers will be able to see them personally as they will be on display during the opening of the temporary casino.
The company’s chief operating officer Jon Lucas said the new casino in Bristol will boost Hard Rock’s global portfolio, and will further cement its status as an iconic hotel and entertainment brand.
Allie Evangelista, the president of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol, said they’re currently busy recruiting new members to the team and are planning to hold more recruitment events ahead of the temporary casino’s grand opening in July.
