Churchill Downs (CDITH LLC) will be very pleased after it was awarded a casino license by the Indiana Gaming Commission (IGC) to develop a casino resort in Vigo County, Indiana.
The commission carried out a vote and it came out 7-0 in favour of Churchill Downs.
The IGC were looking at proposals from four casino operators. These proposals came from Full House Resorts, Churchill Downs, Premier Gaming and Hard Rock International. The proposals from Premier Gaming and Hard Rock International did not make the cut. The commission decided to first vote to give the casino license to Full House Resorts but it got a 5-2 vote and failed.
