Kalamba Games Continues Global Expansion After Gaining Entry Into Portugal

Online casino players in Portugal will soon have access to gaming content developed by international online casino software provider Kalamba Games. The developer recently secured certification from the country’s gambling regulator Serviço Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos do Turismo de Portugal (SRIJ).

This authorizes Kalamba to offer 15 games in its portfolio to Portuguese players via locally-licensed operators. Among the titles certified by SRIJ are Ducks Till Dawn, Blazing Bull, Caribbean Anne and the Joker series, which have all become player favorites. The games will be accessed by local operators and their players through the company’s remote gaming server, Bullseye.

In July, Kalamba Games inked a partnership deal with established Italian brand Betflag, boosting its studio profile in the Italian iGaming market. The supplier debuted its offering in Italy in February of this year.

The deal allowed the online casino games developer to successfully integrate its Bullseye remote gaming server with Betflag, giving the Italian operator and its players access to the company’s extensive range of high-quality games.

The Portuguese certification represents Kalamba’s newest milestone, as it looks to expand its presence to more regulated markets in Europe. The online casino games supplier is also currently active in Spain, and Croatia.

Kalamba Continues to Grow

Commenting on their latest milestone, Alex Cohen, Kalamba’s Chief Operating Officer and co-founder, said their main focus this year is to introduce their content to more regulated territories, in a bid to expand their global footprint. Cohen added that they’ve been eyeing the Portuguese market for quite a while now and they’re delighted that they are finally able to enter the country and begin building partnerships with local operators.

Portugal is home to one of the fastest-growing regulated iGaming markets in Europe. Online slots in particular have enjoyed increasing popularity among local players over the past few years.

Kalamba’s suite of high-performing games, which include a combination of classic and immersive, modern titles, will add to the local players’ list of gaming options.

The company’s Bullseye RGS adopts a legacy-free, modular architecture allowing for maximum flexibility for partner operators and their customers, making it among the fastest growing remote gaming platforms in the industry.

Kalamba Games was established in 2016, with offices in Malta and Poland. It develops and supplies online slots and other casino gaming content to operators worldwide. Since its foundation, the company has secured partnerships with major brands, including ORYX Gaming.
