Playtech won the contract after a successful public tender process. This contract will allow the company to integrate its casino platform and games portfolio into the Totalizator Sportowy suite of products and services. The company will also be providing support for the Polish operator’s infrastructure.
In a statement, Olgierd Cieślik, Totalizator Sportowy president said
“This is a breakthrough moment not only in the history of Totalizator Sportowy but also the entire Polish entertainment market. The partner selection process, despite time-consuming work, allowed us to select one of the best suppliers on the market. I am sure that being extremely experienced and well-known in the entire gaming industry, the company will perfectly handle this task.”
Totalizator Sportowy is the owner of the LOTTO brand in Poland. It is a state-owned company and has been operating for over 60 years now. It focuses primarily on the Polish lottery market and has a robust network in Poland with more than 16,000 points of sales. When Totalizator Sportowy initially launched operations its main focus was to generate revenue for the creation and upkeep of sports facilities. However, the company done rather well and has expanded its services over the years. Today, Totalizator Sportowy also supports Polish culture with its revenue.
The public tender process was to assist with Totalizator Sportowy’s plans to expand into the iGaming market. The company is already the largest gambling operator in Poland and is looking to take full advantage of the iGaming market in the country which is still relatively untapped. Playtech won the contract and will be pleased as the company’s current strategy is to work with already established land-based brands and institutions and pave its way into entering a newly regulated online market.
This strategy is ideal for Playtech as the company is a specialist in providing online gaming services. While Playtech has a market reputation for being a reputed gaming provider, Playtech does a lot more than that. It also brings with it data-driven marketing and the CRM capabilities via its IMS platform.
With Totalizator Sportowy’s knowledge of the Polish gambling market and Playtech’s expertise, a powerful partnership is on the cards which will benefit Polish players and Poland’s online gambling industry.
