Australian slots developer ReelPlay is the newest member of Yggdrasil’s YG Masters Program, an initiative that seeks to help promising new developers reach a global audience. As a member of the program, ReelPlay will have access to Yggdrasil’s GATI technology.
GATI is a development kit that assists developers in creating and distributing their games on a global stage. The kit is already preconfigured and is designed to help creators navigate the different sets rules enacted by gaming regulatory bodies around the globe.
YG Masters members share a common interface while working on their respective games. From this interface, the members can create, distribute, and market their games worldwide. All YG Masters members are also given access to Yggdrasil’s distribution networks, which allows them to offer their games to a massive client base. They also gain access to the YG Franchise network.
Yggdrasil’s YG Masters model began in early 2020, with the goal of providing a roadmap to success for new developers, helping them ramp up content distribution and gain market share quickly.
Despite being a newer name on the scene, ReelPlay has made waves in the slots industry due to its innovative slots titles. The Sydney-based development studio is most famous for the Infinity Reels concept, which is one of the key reasons for their inclusion into the YG Masters program.
The Infinity Reels mechanic was first released in November 2019. Players have the chance each spin to create additional reels and respin with a progressive multiplier in effect.
The mechanic was first utilized by ReelPlay in their El Dorado Infinity Reels, and has since been used in several titles under the same Infinity Reels series, including breakout hits Odin Infinity Reels and Giza Infinity Reels.
The Head of Partner Programs for Yggdrasil, Stuart McCarthy welcomed ReelPlay into the YG Masters program. McCarthy said that ReelPlay is one of the more promising developers in the industry today, and Yggdrasil is excited to help them take the next step toward global reach.
David Johnson, the CCO for ReelPlay, has already spoken about their easy transition to the program and its GATI technology. Johnson said players can now expect more iGaming operators to carry their products soon, with help from Yggdrasil’s industry-leading CRM tools.
ReelPlay is the latest in a series of promising new developers flocking to the YG Masters program. Other notable developers who have joined the same program recently are Bang Bang Games and Gamevy.
