Resorts World LV Gets NGCB Approval Ahead Of Opening Next Month

Resorts World Las Vegas has plans to open its doors to the public on June 24, provided its gets final approval from the Nevada Gaming Commission on May 20. This will be the first new mega-casino resort to open its doors in Las Vegas in over a decade. The last Las Vegas casino resort opening was back in December 2010 when The Cosmopolitan launched.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) has reviewed Resorts World LV license application and looked the property over and found no concerns. The three board members spoke highly of Resorts World LV which indicates that the May 20 hearing is likely to be just a formality.

Resorts World LV belongs to the Malaysian based conglomerate the Genting Group which acquired the Strip site location back in 2013.

It has taken many years for things to come together for Resorts World LV but it appears to be worth the wait as Brin Gibson, chairman for the NGCB was full of praise for the architecture. Gibson also commended Resorts World LV on its financials and well-balanced ratios.

Genting will also run its own sportsbook at the property and offer VIP players private gaming on the 5th and 66th floor of the property.
