In a statement, Richard Schwartz, President of Rush Street Interactive, said
We're excited that more of our players can now reliably use their preferred payment methods, debit and credit cards, to fund their online casino accounts at PlaySugarHouse.com
The online casino industry has grown significantly over the years but making deposits and withdrawals can often be a cumbersome process for players. This is especially so when it comes to credit or debit cards. Credit cards can often get rejected due to a variety of reasons and leave players stranded and disappointed as they cannot proceed with their online gambling experience.
This is where Wyrz comes in. Wyrz is a virtual prepaid Visa card that allows users to make purchases online like a normal visa card provided they have already topped up their Wyrz card. When players attempt to make a deposit at an online casino, they have two options. First, they can pay with their normal card. If they get denied using their regular credit card, they will be automatically redirected to purchase a Wyrz prepaid card without any additional fees. They can then pay for this card using their normal credit card and then proceed to deposit as normal. This entire process should only take around five to ten seconds of their time.
Players who use cards from the following banks will have no problems at all when depositing with their Wyrz cards. The banks that currently cover Wyrz cards are Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, Capital One and TD Bank.
The process of a pre-paid card is not new to Sugarhouse. Previously, the operator offered a SugarHouse prepaid card called Play+. It became one of the most popular choices for payment among Sugarhouse players. This could very well change as having two prepaid cards for the same online casino would be too much for some players.
Sugarhouse is one of the leaders in the New Jersey online gambling market and the Wyrz addition will continue to help strengthen that lead.
