Svenska Spel Signs Live Casino Deal For Swedish Gambling Market

The Swedish gambling market is experiencing some major changes and the state owned Svenska Spel is looking at some outside help.

This is why the biggest gaming operator in the country has entered into a partnership with Evolution Gaming, the world’s largest provider of live-streamed games. The new partnership will enable Svenska Spel to supply a new Live Casino solution for the Swedish market.

Svenska Spel is owned by the Swedish government and manages quite a few brands in the Swedish markets. This includes Triss, Oddset, Lotto, Stryktipset, Casino Cosmopol and Vegas. Since it is run by the government, it focuses on ensuring responsible gambling and protecting its customers.

Sweden's new gambling laws will come into effect from 1st Jan 2019. The New Year will be celebrated by Svenska Spel with the launch of its new Live Casino. This new live casino will have the entirety of Evolution Gaming's portfolio. This includes their popular poker variants that provide players with the chance to place side bets on games.

Evolution Gaming Continues Expansion Into Sweden

The CEO of Evolution Gaming, Martin Carlesund was pleased to partner with the biggest operator in Sweden. The partnership allowed Evolution to expand its presence in Sweden and will also help with instant brand recognition as the live casino is expected to be very popular in the country. Carlesund predicts that with Evolution's help, Svenska Spel would be able to maximize earnings in the new market.

Evolution Gaming’s live casino solutions are used by most of the top casinos around the world. This is the second deal that Evolution has announced for the Swedish market. It recently closed a deal with AB Trav och Galopp, the Swedish horse racing totalizator board. Evolution plans to supply content to the AB Trav at the same time as they do with Svenska Spel when the new year begins.
